Torche Premiere Several New Songs From Restarter This Week; Full Album Stream Via Noisey On Feb. 16

Metal Hammer, Alternative Press, Stereogum, Paste And Metal Sucks Rolling Out New Songs Beginning Today

Feb. 9, 2015, Philadelphia – Torche roll out several songs from Restarter (Feb. 24, Relapse Records) this week, with Metal Hammer premiering “Bishop In Arms” today (http://metalhammer.teamrock.com/news/2015-02-09/torche-unveil-bishop-in-arms).

Alternative Press shares “Undone” tomorrow, Stereogum debuts “Restarter” on Wednesday, followed by Paste’s stream of “Blasted’ on Thursday and Metal Sucks hosting “Barrier Hammer” on Friday. Noisey will begin streaming the album in its entirety, with a first listen to “Believe it” and “No Servants” on Monday, Feb. 16.

Late last week, Relapse unleashed Torche vs. Robots: Annihilation Affair (www.torchevsrobots.com), a single-player game featuring each of the Torche band members as characters trying to save the city of Miami from destruction bend robots. Fans who play the game are eligible to win a prize pack that includes Restarter on vinyl, a t-shirt, two tickets to see Torche on tour and stickers. To enter, contestants must upload a video to YouTube which shows them beating the game with the hash tag #torchevsrobots. One prize pack per band member/character will be awarded with winners picked on Feb. 23.

The Southeastern quartet is on the current cover of New Noise Magazine and their new album received a perfect 10 from Outburn. Torche has previously previewed three new songs from Restarter: “Loose Men,” which Rolling Stone called “sunny” and Outburn called a “ridiculously catchy rocker” (https://soundcloud.com/relapserecords/torche-loose-men), “Minions” (https://soundcloud.com/relapserecords/torche-minions/s-8JCbr), a track Stereogum described as “a towering, walloping steamroller of a song” and “Annihilation Affair” (https://soundcloud.com/relapserecords/torche-annihilation-affair), which Spin dubbed a “thundering single” and went to describe as featuring “pulverizing eardrums with screeching, sludgy guitars, head-pounding percussion, and gut-wrenchingly aggressive vocals.”
