Sound Matters: Once Around The Ride

That’s all you and I get.

Once. Around. The. Ride.

One shot at this life. One shot to make something happen that means something to you. One shot to accomplish whatever it is that keeps you up at night. One shot to take a shot; to take a chance; to bet on yourself. You may not be one in a million, and you may not make a million, but so what? It’s not about fame or fortune when it’s about your heart; your soul; your passion.

As such, there’s no time to waste because we all know how fucking fast it goes by. And the older we get, the faster it seems to move. All we have to do is look around and witness while so many others’ time expires…

So what’s it going to be? What do you want to do? You know there’s stuff you’ve put on a shelf. You know there’s dreams you still have, but you’ve possibly put off, or pushed back. Or, you’ve rationalized it all away as “not possible,” “not practical,” or some other variation of ‘quitting’ that you’ve succumbed to, and bought into.

How dare I right? Who do I think I am to say this shit?

Because I know this shit… Because I did it too. Because I’m no different than you.

Start small. Identify ONE thing to accomplish today or this week.

Then, make a list of next week’s realistic accomplishments.

Then, outline your plan for the week after that, and the week after that…

It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be. You can change the details and make adjustments later. Over time, things build upon themselves, and suddenly you’re looking around and realizing that you’re actually getting somewhere.
