The instrumental progressive giants and titans of technical fretboard wizardry ANIMALS AS LEADERS – featuring guitarists Tosin Abasi and Javier Reyes, and drummer Matt Garstka – performed an electrifying set comprised mostly of tracks from their 2014 Sumerian Records release The Joy of Motion, ending with a dizzying delivery of CAFO from the 2009 self-titled debut album. The trio played at Wooly’s in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, supporting Between The Buried And Me, along with guests The Contortionist.
