Letting Go recorded their rookie LP with acclaimed hardcore producer Jay Maas (Defeater, Vanna, Transit).
“Vacant is about having to sever ties with someone you’ve been close to for years and how alone it can feel, though it’s for the best. We feel this really represents the sound and overall tone of our album. With the video, we really wanted to give people a look into our life on the road during our last winter tour, while showcasing our passion and energy that we bring to each show..”
New Hampshire post-hardcore band Letting Go has continued to make waves since the release of debut EP, ‘Lost Time’ in the summer of 2016. The band brings a visceral tenacity to their sound, with a strong instrumental unit underpinning Aric Leighton’s accessible and heart-on-sleeve lead vocal.
The quartet quickly picked up a solid reputation and a growing fan base, bolstered by sold-out support slots with genre heavy hitters such as Vanna, Ice Nine Kills, I See Stars, and Like Moths to Flames as well as a series of headline runs across New England.
‘Something To Me’ is set for release on August 24th, with the follow up to ‘Lost Time’ looking to graduate Letting Go from promising “ones-to-watch”, into a legitimate player in the independent New England hardcore scene, with a record chock-full of raw, emotive vocal delivery and thunderous breakdowns.
