Guitar legend Uli Jon Roth brings his Classical Style to the Scene Rock Bar in Kansas City
Considered as one of the pioneers of the Neo-Classical metal genre, Uli Jon Roth was one of the original members and lead guitarist of the Scorpions during the 70’s, recording some truly awesome ‘Scorp’ albums such as Fly to the Rainbow (1974), In Trance (1975), Virgin Killer (1976), Taken by Force (1977), and Tokyo Tapes (live recording, 1978). Roth went on to form Electric Sun, followed by a solo career which expanded his compositional domain by writing for larger classical ensembles including four symphonies and two concertos, as well as performances with symphony orchestras.
Photographer Thomas Woroniak was there to snag some shots of this classical master.

Still one of my favorite intro guitar leads, the Scorpion’s “The Sails of Charon”
