Kansas City’s 98.9 The Rock once again brings together an amazing lineup to what has been billed as the largest one day open-air music festival in America. Rockfest 2015 is expected to draw over 55,000 fans to Liberty Memorial Park in the heart of downtown Kansas City. The event’s website has stated that this year’s event is the fastest selling Rockfest in the festival’s 23 year history, having sold over 40,000 tickets as of April 1, 2015. This year’s festival will happen, rain or shine, on Saturday, May 30.
The killer lineup for 2015 includes metal behemoths Anthrax headlining on the Worth Harley Davidson Stage, and the iconic dreadlock-sporting legend, Rob Zombie, closing the festival on the Monster Energy Main Stage. The lineup is filled up with performances throughout the day featuring Volbeat, In This Moment, Nothing More, Papa Roach, Motionless In White, Halestorm, Tech N9ne, We Are Harlot, Otherwise, All That Remains, Crobot, The Pretty Reckless, and Sidewise.
Rockfest 2015 features 15 bands on two stages providing 12 hours of continuous music. And what would any music festival be without food and drink? Strategically placed throughout the Liberty Memorial Park, Rockfest patrons can find an assortment of food and snack vendors, as well as water, sodas, beer and mixed drinks. Ride the zipline and visit the merch stands throughout the festival grounds. The event is located close to many hotels and restaurants, and parking is located on the festival site.
